Aisha Yesufu, a prominent activist and co-convener of the #Bring Back Our Girls group, has strongly criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for electing former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, as the National Chairman of the party.
Ganduje’s election as the party’s National Chairman took place on Thursday in Abuja, despite facing a pending case over allegations of bribery. He was caught on video allegedly collecting and stuffing wads of dollar notes into his pocket.
In a tweet on Friday, Aisha Yesufu slammed the APC for choosing Ganduje as its chairman, arguing that the former Kano governor, who should be facing legal consequences, is instead being rewarded for alleged criminality. She expressed her disappointment in the ruling party, stating that it seems to encourage, nurture, and reward criminal behavior rather than holding offenders accountable.
