Immaculate Iroechendu is one Nollywood actress, from Imo state in Ezinihitte Mbaise that is ready to work. This lady thespian from a family of 8 is the last born. She is a graduate of Imo State University, where she read Mass communication. She is single and ready to take challenging roles. In this interview she communicates to producers and directors, detailing her urge to work.

“I joined Nollywood in 2016… entertainment industry has not been easy I must say. But I won’t stop until I make name for myself. Is never an easy thing to be an actress / public figure. I enjoy what I’m doing, though, a lot of discouragement from people but I won’t stop pushing till I make it because I love the career I chose”.

Q: Do you think honesty is always the best policy?

Yes, honesty is the best policy because if you are honest with your friends, you’re proving to them that you can be trusted at all times. Honesty is one thing I cherish so much. With honesty, You have me all to yourself. Honesty is the best policy for the reason that without honesty, people wouldn’t be able to rely on you. To build a healthy relationship, it has everything to do with honesty.

Q: When was your first role as an actor?

  1. I played the role of a maid. The movie is titled Catholic Burial. It was never easy facing the legend Bob Manuel and also fighting with the camera but it really came out well.

Q: Think about a demanding director or castmate. What made him/her difficult and how did you successfully interact with this person?

The most demanding director I ever worked with was Ike Modify, the character I was given in the job was too challenging to me and I was expecting him to cut me some slack but nonetheless, he insisted that I must play to perfection. I won’t lie, I picked offense but still had to be professional and do what the director wanted. Gladly, it came out well at the end and it became a joy to watch. So the tough demand was worth it, after all.

Q: What sort of acting roles will you be seeking in the future?

No definite role, because I believe as an actor I should be versatile, what I want is the role that will bring out the best in me.

Q: Tell us about your role in what you are working on now and what is your toughest role so far?

My toughest role is not one but every time I’m demanded to play the role of a mentally deranged person. Actually, I’m working on a project where I’m playing the role of a deceitful friend.

Q: When you suffer a setback, how does that emotionally affect you and your work?

Whenever I suffer a setback the effects is always a cause for sobber reflection which in the eyes of people may see as if I have withdrawn. But in the real sense, it’s a time I ask myself some inner questions to find out if the setback was of my making and what I could have done differently. Then I just implement it and move on.

Q: In which area would you like to improve as an actor?

I would improve on soft emotion. When it comes to emotion there are some ways I would love to channel it. Especially when it involves a lot of tears because I tend to have a backlash anytime I shed tears.

Q: How do you like to encourage ideas in others?

The best way I encourage ideas is by cooperation, I believe that ideas are well harness when there is positive cooperation. However, not all ideas are implementable. when I come across such what I owe the person is good advice.

Q: Kindly describe your acting style.

Conventional.

Q: What do you like doing in your spare time?

I love cooking a lot, love hanging out with friends and I also love to explore new things.

Q: Describe Nollywood industry.

Is an industry where everyone is accommodated ranging from talent/skills to intellectual capacity. In my opinion, is one of the most popular employing industries in the country.

Q: What is your take on piracy?

For me, piracy is like a homicide. It’s the ark enemy of this industry, Nollywood and is one thing that only the government can help put an end to.

Q: Any message to your fans?

Of course, keep being supportive, keep cheering me on and I promise to always put in my best and never to disappoint you.
