NGO Accuses President Tinubu of Undermining Former VP Atiku Abubakar

In a direct allegation, the non-governmental organization Face Of Waziri-Nigeria (FOWN) has accused President Bola Tinubu of engaging in efforts to diminish the standing of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar among his supporters.

In a statement issued over the weekend and signed by its Director-General Mr. Bukky Adeniyi, the group asserted that the presidency under Tinubu’s leadership is visibly agitated by Atiku’s persistent endeavors to unveil his purported educational records. This pursuit has led Atiku to initiate legal proceedings in the United States of America to substantiate his claims.

FOWN unequivocally stated that Tinubu’s presidency is grappling with unease and frustration due to Atiku’s determined actions. The organization expressed the view that Tinubu is intent on employing all means necessary to obfuscate his own past, particularly since it is now seemingly haunting him.

FOWN said that: “There are strong indication of prevailing confusion within the presidency over the ongoing court case in USA instituted by Alhaji Atiku Abubarka, they desperately searching for a diplomatic resolution to stop the release of Tinubu’s claimed school records, which might open what we termed the pandora box.

“In order to debar the truth from all Nigerians, they have plans in top-gear to engage the media, religious bodies, civil society organizations, political and traditional leaders in the guise of doling out palliatives, having approved the sum of 5 billion naira to states, imagine what the humongous total sum of money share across states will fix in the hailing petroleum refineries of Nigeria!

“This in the real sense is targeted at regaining the confidence of the masses, especially in the North where much trepidation abounds and points to the fact that they are fast losing grip there.” FOWN reveals.

The statement reads further that former governor Nyesome Wike accompanied by his River State successor Siminalayi Fubara, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and any other PDP Governor that aligns with the aim of fostering disunity in PDP, has ample funds made available to realize this particular project.

Lastly the group maintained that there are moves to deliberately, “blackmail Atiku Abubarka, so as to reduce to its barest minimum his popularity in the northern region, through promotion of anti-masses policies/campaigns against his personality.

“The method adopted to execute the heinous crime against humanity and Nigerians in particular includes; the media and religious leaders in the North championed by Shariff Nastura, Chairman Coalition of Northern groups, they were engaged to fan the ember of discord within PDP.
