Tinubu to Inaugurate Federal Executive Council on Monday

President Bola Tinubu is set to formally inaugurate the new Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Monday, at the State House in Abuja. This inauguration marks the commencement of the duties of the recently appointed ministers, allowing them to swiftly assume their roles and responsibilities.

In preparation for the inauguration, the newly appointed ministers have been engaged in necessary preparations. They have received notifications requesting them to provide essential documents such as their curriculum vitae, birth certificate or declaration of age, and two passport photographs for the purpose of clearance.

Nnamdi Mbaeri, the Permanent Secretary of the General Services at the Office of the Secretary to the Federation, made an official statement on Thursday, disclosing the details of the inauguration process. According to the statement, this process is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, August 20.

The upcoming event will see the ministers take their oath of office and allegiance. President Tinubu will administer these oaths, officially ushering them into their respective positions.

Mbaeri’s notice outlined the logistical aspect of the preparation: “Ministers-designate are to please note that their documentation will take place at the Conference Room, General Services Office, Second Floor, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20. The ministers are expected to be sworn in by President Bola Tinubu on Monday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.”
